Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider
At the Bologna Motor Show this week Ferrari wanted to make a big impression. I mean it would be a bit embarassing if you launched a crap car in your own country. So the Italians decided to launch their best car yet. It's called the Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider (could of come up with a simpler name) and does 0-60 in a eye blinking 3.7 seconds. It's a hard top so you'd think it might be a bit fat, but they have thought about this one long and hard. If I was going to get a car of that standard I want to be a convertable but I wouldn't want the roof weighing it down bringing down its performance. They have taken a gaw breaking 80kg of the weight of the roof since their last 430. This is what helps it reach a top speed of 196mph. With a 7 speed transmision helps to control the mental 510 horses of power under the bonnet. It's a 4.3 V8 and I really feel sorry for the traction control on this because it must get torn appart everytime it gets turned on. Also they have been sensible with the engine, putting it mid-rear was definately the right thing to do. That is just a rule, all sports cars should have their engines there and the Italians agreed. You might be wondering why I haven't mentioned style because after all, its Ferrari we are talking about here and they are obsessed with expensive and pointless fashon. There are 2 colours you can have in the (which you probably couldn't afford on their own) Either a black exterior with a black and grey trim and there is another one to do with 3 colours or something. I got bored just thinking about it! You also get this plaque mounted to the back of the car celebrating Ferrari's 16th Constructors World Title. Typical, they save all that weight on the roof trying to improve it and then go and stick some heavy steel fashon item on the back.
