Honda FCX Clarity
For years we have been searching for the car of the future that will hopefully replace the petrol car and help tackle climate change. Many cars have tried like the Gwiz which looks a bit odd to say the least, and there is the Tesla Roadster which is a beauiful car but as Top Gear proved it only runs for around 50 miles before needing 16 hours to charge. There is now a car which drives for ---- There is now are car with zero carbon emissions! The only emission is water. (which as we all no does no damage to the atmosphere) It's the Honda FCX Clarity, which is the electric car of the future. It is like no other electric ar though as instead of having a battery (like the tesla) it has it's own electric generator, which is hydrogen fuel cell. You simply fill the car up with compressed hydrogen which takes about 2-3 minutes. So it's just like filling up your car normally. To make the car work the compressed hydrogen mixes with the oxygen to make electricity. This is a very complex process. This electricy that has been produced drives a motor to make the car work. It does 0-60mph in 9 seconds. It runs for more than 270 miles before needing more hydrogen. They are getting people to test it in California at the moment, and hopefully it will suceed and then honda will spread it all around the world. source: Top Gear (The TV show)
